Hi guys,
I have a few questions, I am so confused. Now, I KNOW that I should be eating a safe number of calories and not dropping too far below that if I want to lose weight. I do know this, and I totally agree with it and want to try to stick to it BUT... After I had all my dental stuff done, I had real problems eating. My mouth was sore, I felt sick... I was probably having about 1000 calories a day, most of that was drinks (gingerale, etc). I was rarely hungry, too, it was weird. That carried on for at least a week. Then I had my all fluids day before my colonoscopy. Here is my question... it seems to me that in a 'normal' person, that would make them lose weight, at least temporarily and then gain back what they lost once they started eating normally again. I gained weight! I went back up to 167. I am so confused. Now I am still at 167, having had 2 meals since my 'no food' colonoscopy day and I just feel so puzzled.
Do you think that my metabolism is just really screwed up? I mean, I went from eating basically only rice for a looong time last year and being really thin, to suddenly feeling better and eating everything in sight, to trying to eat a normal diet.. Once I gained the weight though, it just won't come off!! I don't eat junk food, I just don't understand this...
I feel really bad about it 'cause I NEED to lose weight to be able to get a breast reduction, and my appointment is on the 9th of August and there is like no way I will be able to make a difference by then at this rate!
Thanks guys! --Steph
