Hi Christine, I'm sure one of the first questions your doctor asked was, does he suffer from incontinence during the day? If yes, then it's quite possible he does have IBS or other colo-rectal and or pelvic floor problems. If he's not having any incontinence during the day, then it well could be some kind of strange psychological problem. -Bob
