I have to ask... my tummy was definitely not in control before, but it seems to be more bloated and my gas levels seem to go up the more soluble fiber I take.. any suggestions? I never got gas- just diahrea or constipation (yes- I'm IBS-A) before.. The doc put me on fiber supplements a few months ago.. thats when the gas started... I tried: metamucil- forget it... citrucel- no better, and now benefiber- at least I'm not getting nauseaus and puking from it like the other 2, but the more I take and I've been very gradually increasing the amount- at about 3 tbs/day the more bloated and the more gassy.. DH has tried to relegate me to one bathroom so I don't stink up all 3 in the house on him.

The only time I ever remember this much gas before was when I tried to eat yogurt- I'd get an instant gas attack every time... and be bloated and icky for days....

and my energy levels are too low, I have to eat more nutrients... any suggestions? I've added chicken, tuna and spagheti sauce- tomato only so far.. none of those seems to be making a noticable difference when added to the solubles I'm eating them with... and I ate a luna bar the other day.. but that was the day I started the diet and realized I should probably back off that sort of stuff..

Amie in MI who is trying to figure this all out..
