Definitely stay away from fennel tea if it gives you gas. I also think that stress is making matters worse. I am on Librax to relax me and relax my stomach. Stress is a big trigger for me.
I'm sure you already know about Immodium for "D". It really helps me. Maybe it would help you get through those "D" days a little easier. And... good... idea to be on the safe diet for now.
I certainly hope you start to feel better soon. Keep us posted.
