I have been trying to get a handle on this IBS myself and have never thought that dairy was a problem; only had yogurt every day; have lots of ranch dressing (I'm a dipper), and cheese on my sandwiches. Well, last week had a severe case of gas pains and bloating and decided to drop the dairy for abit. It has definitely seemed to make a difference, which blows my mind and makes me sad, actually. There is so many things that include 'dairy' and so it will really take some getting used to. I'm going to wait a few more days and then slowly add a little dairy back in and see what happens. If it causes problems, I'm going to try some Lactaid and if I still have problems, I guess it's bye,bye to dairy.
At any rate, you're not alone in this thing. Good Luck
Janene
