Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Well, after being in emerg again yesterday I finally managed to get in to see my GI doctor, who was not nice as usual. I brought my Dad with me which helped a bit, he set the mean nurse straight right of the bat. It was unbelievable, this doctor has already consulted with me once and done a colonoscopy on me, yet when I went it she was like "So, you were referred from emerg?" "What tests have you already had?"

I replied, "You mean other than the colonoscopy you guys did?" And she exclaimed "Oh, you've already been seen by us!" I couldn't believe it...my dad just looked at her and said very sternly "is that not documented in her file that she's been a patient for crying out loud, we were not impressed."

Now the GI thinks there is a possibility that it's Crohn's, based on the rashes on my shins, and the location of the pain, so he's ordered a small bowel follow-thru. I'm totally bummed about that just because I don't want to have to another prep (I have to do the same one for the colonsocopy). But I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

I even mentioned to him that I'm scared about the prep because my blood levels are all out of whack already and I'm barely eating, and I'm afraid it's going to be too hard on my body, and all he would say is, "If you can't do it, we won't help you." Nice guy eh?

Anyways, just wanted to update you guys and thank you for your support.
