Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Exhausting & Extreamly painful periods

Hi All
This week has been a nightmare for me. At the weekend I had a cold brought on by allergic reaction to the glue I was using to do my fiberglass nails and then Sunday night right up to today I've been really suffering with extream period pains.
I saw my doc about this at the beginning of the year as I was worried it was endrometreosis but had a proper examination and found it was my IBS making my periods a lot worse.
I've been taking pain killers all week (which I dont like) and today I have run out so am sitting it out, its not as bad as it was yesterday but still really uncomfortable and I feel so tired.

Does anyone else here suffer majorly with their periods because of their IBS???

What can I do to lessen the pain??
It's boiling hot here in the UK so the hot water bottle idea is no good, I have been using it a few times but Im just too hot.
I just had a hot bath but now I just feel drained of energy and again too hot.

What can I do???
