The good and the bad

I was going to make a success story post Monday after getting back from my annual convention and having no problems! Yea! I mean that is such an achievement for me you have no idea! Thank you Heather! But to continue, now that I am stabilized I can see what actually causes me problems. 1. heat and humidity. I work outside and I have to start at 7 and quit at 2 and have the AC on in the truck (i'm a meter reader) to really be close to ok but still nothing can ever really defeat this problem. 2. stress! Again now that I am stable I see it when I couldn't before. And I have it big time right now. Major family discordance (not at home thank God but with mom/sis) has brought on bloat again. 3. menstrual stuff. I can tell it now since I am pretty good the rest of the month. Can anyone relate to this stuff (especially stress)?
Also I found one bad thing about being stabilized...you can't use your bad tummy as an excuse to get out of things you don't want to do! When I needed a day or night off I used to always have a huge bloated belly to justify it and now it isn't there! Best wishes to everyone!

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
