Same thing with me, I was told several times to give up dairy and sometimes I would for a week but I never really believed I should and always came back to it. But now that I am strictly on Heather's diet I know what it is like to feel good and dairy should have been given up long ago. I am not lactose intolerant -I just can't tolerate dairy. J/K. Seriously giving up everything that is a trigger food and then reintroducing things slowly to see if they bother you is the best way to go. Today I had an icee and just the cold gave me mild D so watch out for that too. Oh yeah and the fat content of a Blizzard is sky high! which is the worst thing for IBS in my opinion. It would be better to have lite ice cream than to have a blizzard. Sorry!

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
