Re: Immodium as a Preventative       07/14/04 08:33 AM Edit Reply Quote Jennifer Rose Reged: 04/02/03 Posts: 3566 Loc: Fremont, CA Sometimes I will take Immodium as a preventative if I am going somewhere that I absolutely have to be and cannot leave early (an airline flight, for example). Since I am already IBS-C, I try to avoid taking Immodium unless it is very important since I will stay constipated for a couple days afterwards. If I have some place important, sometimes I will take Immodium even if I have no symptoms just in case. Typically, I wait until I start to feel that familar rumble and hope that it's not an urgent case of D.
