Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Raindew, I know EXACTLY what you mean!

I used to be sooo picky about chocolate and desserts 'cause I loved them so much.. and I was picky about food in general, really. Since going on the IBS diet I have really come to believe that you can often teach yourself to like foods. Like, I used to eat potato chips a lot and I didn't really like pretzels AT ALL. Now that they are my safest, salty snack.. they are one of my favourite foods. I used to drink fruit juice like there was no tomorrow, but I HATED cranberry juice.. I mean, my friend tried to make me drink it once ('cause of the bladder infection) and I couldn't even have a few sips.. now that it's the only safe juice, I have it all the time! Granted I dilude it with water 'cause it's still too strong for me but hey, it's juice!
Woulda never drank soy milk, but now half a glass of chocolate soy milk or some soy chocolate ice cream is a real treat.
It's funny how things change!
