All about them:

http://www.menumagazine.co.uk/book/azbanana.htm

Okay folks with IBS-D. Did you know that if you buy the GREENEST bananas you can and put them in the refridgerator they WON'T ripen? Why should you care? UNRIPENED green bananas are not only LOW glycemically speaking (much less sugar! if you care) they also cause C...and if you have
IBS-D that is GREAT news. Don't go overboard now...and go the other way! Yes, they will eventually turn BLACK (the skin) in your fridge - but they last and last - never ripen inside and will for SURE SLOW everything down (use with caution) stop D. Combine it with some sourdough toast and a bit of oatmeal in the morning...maybe some peeled apple and WHAM - I betcha "do" better the next day. What this has done for me has allowed me more formed "results" and MUCH LESS urgency in the morning. Besides...bananas do contain soluable fiber - tons of potassium and yes, they even have 2g of protein in each one...my only question is...

...can you FREEZE them? Ha ha (no, I'd really like to know!)
