Hi Sheri,

I am no expert but I take VSL#3 which is a live probiotic with 450 billion good bacteria per dose. The instructions are to take it with applesauce or yogurt.

I have always had mine with applesauce usually after a breakfast of Rice Chex w/ soy milk.

I'm with you too about my stomach pretty much always having food in it. I usually eat 5 - 6 times a day (small amts.) So I don't think my stomach is ever empty except first thing in the morning.
