Thanks again for all of the suggestions. His first attack was on Christmas day 2002. His symptoms are abdominal pain and alternating d&c. He has had an upper GI, an abdominal ultrasound and just last week he had a EGD. They have also done a series of bloodwork and I honestly can't tell you everything they checked. I do know that one of the tests was for Chron's. All of the bloodwork and the tests have been normal.

The pepogest that we have tried are enteric coated capsules. He said that he felt nauseous when he took them so we only tried them for a day. Maybe we should have stuck with them longer???

He is a really good kid. He's very sensitive and I'm beginning to wonder if his sensitivity causes him to stress about things that most people don't even think about. I have been reading some of the posts about the hypnotherapy tapes and wonder if they might help him learn to deal with some of his worries but don't know -- he may be too young to understand how to make them work for him.

Our goal right now is for him to have one week without pain. That hasn't happened since Christmas.

I will read the suggested websites, keep watching the boards and try to become better educated. It is just so nice to communicate with people who know exactly what we're going through.

Thanks again for the feedback.
