Hi Everyone,

I have IBS and have been suffering from continual diahorrea for the past 1.5 years. I have just learnt to accept it, as I am not really suffering many other symptoms other than occassional stomach / chest cramps after eating a heavy meal.

I was recently diagnosed with having Helicobacter Pylori (HP) bacteria in my stomach after having a stool test.

Is there any link between IBS and HP?

My doctor has prescribed me a treatment for HP of Ospamox (Amoxycillin), Klacid (Clarithromycin) Losec (Omeprazole) for 7 days, followed by Losec, once a day for a month.

Can anyone please advise me on the sort of diet I should be following that will not conflict with any of the medications that I am taking. I have been told that I need to avoid alchohol. I have read that yoghurt is good for the stomach.

Also, do multivitamins such as Berroca or Centrum interfere with the treatment or with the HP and/or IBS condition in general?

Any advice is appreciated.

Regards,

Ozeagle
