Very confused!!       05/25/04 05:21 AM Edit Reply Quote CathUK Reged: 05/25/04 Posts: 373 Loc: Cambridge, UK This might be in no way related, but before I was diagnosed with having an underactive thyriod I always had swollen glands, acid throat and a feeling that someone was sitting on my chest so that I couldn't breathe properly. I also found it difficult to swallow and felt like I was about to swallow my own tongue. My doctor initially tried to persuade me that I had asthma!Now I'm on the right medication thats all gone thank goodness - just the IBS to worry about (which of course, according to the doctors is not at all linked ... hmmm).
