Tomatoes a trigger?

Last night I made the tomato basil bruchetta in Heather's book for the first time. I ended up VERY sick with horrible stomach pains and I'm still "unsettled" this morning. Any ideas why this would make me so sick when it is supposed to be safe? Anyone else have problems with tomatoes? I was also sick after eating the tuna pasta salad from Heather's book. However, I can eat other tomato-based foods with no problems (V8 juice, turkey chili, etc.) Could it be a problem with raw tomatoes? The seeds??? I've searched for posts on this and mostly found ones related to acid reflux, which I don't have (thank goodness).

It's just so frustrating how random IBS is. You think you're safe and then you're doubled over in pain. Equally perplexing is that I can eat some "trigger" foods with no problem - I was at a reception on Saturday and had raw veggies (no tomatoes!), strawberries, pineapple, small ham sandwich, a chocolate chip cookie, half a brownie, and cake with yummy creamy frosting. (Yes I have the world's largest sweet tooth). Of course I had fiber beforehand (and I know everybody's different)but certainly those foods should have made me more sick than the bruchetta (I had fiber before that, too). Luckily I am not a fan of tomatoes raw so cutting them out would not be tough.
