Hi Muffet, I just found this website yesterday and this is my first post. Like almost everyone on this site, I had every test in the book and was finally told it was IBS. My doctor was convinced I had Crohn's disease, and after doing many, many tests he wanted me to have a colonoscopy. I read a lot about Crohn's and just knew I didn't have it. He wouldn't stop harping so I went to another dr. who convinced me to have the colonoscopy to ease my mind. I was really scared so I put it off for a long time, but I finally had it done and my colon was "perfect". I know how difficult it is to go through all of this, and being on the other side it's easy for me to say not to worry. I can at least tell you not to be afraid of the actual tests, they are easy. And the best advice my mother, who is a nurse, always tells me, "trust yourself, listen to your gut, you know your body better than anyone." I hope you sleep better knowing a lot of us have been there and have made it through.
