I'm sorry you're going through this! I know it can be scary when you're waiting for test results and all that. I had the same thing with the Celiac blood test. The GI did another blood test and endoscopy (down the throat--they take a biopsy and get back to you in about a week). Turned out I didn't have it. It sounds like you don't either, but we'll just have to see. The endoscopy is not bad at all. The procedure lasts about 20mins and then you just have to take it easy the rest of the day while the anesthesia wears off.
I think it's pretty normal to worry that something might be seriously wrong. I mean, you just can't help but wonder. There is nothing you can do about it. I would say try not to think about it for the few weeks. If your symptoms get much worse, though, you might want to get the dates pushed up. How have you been doing with Heather's diet? Feeling better at all? Are you taking a soluble fiber supplement? Watching what you eat is one way that you can actively deal with your symptoms. You might also try relaxation/meditation exercises, regular ol' exercise (burn off some of that nervousness!), yoga. If that doesn't help, you may want to ask your doc for medication to deal with anxiety or a temporary supply of sleeping pills. Not getting enough rest only aggravates your symptoms, then you can't sleep, symptoms get worse, etc--it's a vicious circle! Hang in there!
