Hi everyone,
I've been trying to follow the diet, and went to the grocery store today to stock up on safe safe stuff!! I bought the rice for risotto, more plain rice, ff saltines, wraps, french bread, etc. However, I'm wondering just how strict people adhere to the diet. I mean, I tried to find so much more stuff to eat, but virtually EVERYTHING has milk or some form of dairy in it!! ahhh. I saw a recipe for chicken breasts on here that were covered in mashed potato flakes, however even that flakes contained dairy.
is it alright to sneak in a little in food, or does everyone strictly adhere to no traces of dairy whatsoever. Its so hard to tell the difference, cheese and butter hardly ever make me sick unless I eat TONS, but milk, cottage cheese, and mayo sometimes send me running to the toilet. My basic question is am I allowed to buy the mashed potato flakes, and those quaker rice cakes people are eating or not?!? I mean I totally don't want diarrhea anymore so if they have to go that fine, but I have noticed that alot of people say that they eat stuff with parmesean or little bits of milk products.
I mean, what on labels are ABSOLUTE IBS NONO'S
