You HAVE to have the tests (inc. a colonoscopy) to have IBS diagnosed. Your doctor should NOT have diagnosed you without doing these first. Go back and DEMAND either a referal to a GI specialist or a colonoscopy. This is VERY important, especially as you have slightly abnormal symptoms (though it could still be IBS).
