Period pain, ibuprofen.. please help??

Hiya,
I should have my period tomorrow and I have to go to work for 8 hours, and I am really nervous about cramps... Since going on the IBS diet, I have totally cut out taking any other pain killers or anything.. Now I can't remember why I did that. I can't remember if I am allowed ibuprofen, etc or not? I used to take ibuprofen in the beginning of the day, and could usually get through without really bad cramps for the majority of the day... Can I do that tomorrow? If I do, should I take immodium with it to be safe? I might take immodium anyway, depending on how my belly does.. which isn't normall too well on period days.. If the pain killers will give me D, I'll skip them and deal with the cramps but they have been really bad lately and would like something to take the edge off.
Please help!
