Not embarrassing at all, Sheri.

I would run out to the nearest WalMart pharmacy and try to find some Equalactin before your trip. If you can't find it, then get some Fibercon or Citrucel CAPSULES -- they're portable, and you can stick them in your purse. Equalactin works best, but you're in kind of a hurry, no time to order it now, so get either of them. They have very little fiber in them, Sheri, so they shouldn't cause you any distress. When you go to a restaurant or to a friend's house (away from home where you control what you're eating), you can take one of them before you eat and it'll provide a soluble fiber base.

Then, when you return, get on that soluble fiber supplement (a powder, like Acacia or Citrucel) as soon as possible; you really need it!

Also, perhaps it's time to start adding in some fruit and veggies -- but SLOWWWWLY. Fix yourself a smoothie and throw in some frozen or canned blueberries. Blueberries REALLY make me go! You can make some vegetable soup using your favorite veggies (watch out for broccoli and cabbage-- too tough to digest). Be sure to have some soluble fiber first, like a roll or some crackers.

On your impending trip hopefully you can order vegetable soup (but, again, take some Equalactin, and also be sure to have a roll or some bread first). Careful ordering fruit though, especially if it has a skin that's tough to digest (like apples or grapes, for instance).

Have a good time! And let us know how it goes.

Bev
