Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Prodiem

Hi everyone. I'm new here though I've been reading the posts for a while now, since I started following Heather's diet (which has been helping it seems).

Anyway, I decided to start taking soluble fiber supplements. I really don't think I could down any of those powdered ones mixed with water (ie Metamucil), so I was looking for the tablet kind. But when I went to the drug store (a very big Shoppers), I couldn't find any of the tablet-brands listed on this site (I'm in Canada, so I don't know if some of them aren't available here...?) The only one I could find that seemed similar is 'Prodiem'. It doesn't say soluble fiber on it but the first ingredient is Acacia, and the directions seem to be pretty similar to other soluble fiber supplements. My other worry is that is says "senna formula" on it - isn't senna a stimulant? I'm principally an IBS-D so a stimulant is not what I'm looking for (right?) I'm not really sure.

I'm nervous of taking this in case it just makes things worse, so if anyone knows anything about Prodiem please help! Thank you!
