Thank you. When I say my husband just had surgery, I meant he just had surgery  on March 26th. In the past year we both had been watching what we ate, in fact we both had been eating the healthiest of our lives. He had started eating more for his diverticulitis in December after a particularly violent attack. This worked for me to, because I was going through all this stomach problems so I needed more fiber or so I thought (boy was I going about it wrong) so we were in this together. I guess maybe as I am writing this maybe that is part of the problem, now I feel alone on the island:). He is very supportive most of the time. I probably do need to sit him down and educate him a little bit more. I am learning more and more each day. I ordered Heather's book IBS the First Year yesterday, I can't wait for that to get here. It's funny, I have had IBS for almost six months, but just was diagnosed on Friday. I feel like I am starting from scratch. I did find Heather's website about three weeks ago when my GP suggested that my problem could be IBS, so that has helped me alot. I ordered her Eating for IBS and printed off several pages off the internet which have been a Godsend.
