We are having company in a few weeks and are painting our living room. I promised my son if he helped paint, I would bake him chocolate chip cookies. Well he painted, so I made his cookies. That was tough. I can't even have a nibble. The second part is my husband just had laproscopic abdomimal surgery to have 10 inches of his colon removed because of diverticulitis. He is doing amazingly well & can eat everything & is doing so with gusto. Of course I am happy for him and so thankful that he is through with the diverticulitus; but when I see him eating something like a brownie and drinking a Pepsi I am a little jealous and resentful. My husband doesn't know this of course, he knows I am a little whacko, but this would certainly prove it. I know it could be worse, but this is still all new to me so I hope I am not too terribly whiny.
