Oh, don't get me started on insurance issues! GROAN. Yeah, I know where you're comin' from, Girlfriend. I don't work anymore either, and I have to pay for my own insurance. It's EXTREMELY expensive. I pay $383/month for just me alone -- not hubby -- and it doesn't include dental. Actually, I feel fortunate to be able to get it! When I had my colonoscopy, wow, it was EXPENSIVE -- I thanked my lucky stars that I had insurance! And then when I was hospitalized with diverticulitis, again $$$$$ BIG TIME -- insurance (for me at least) is a necessary evil of life.
Please ask your hubby for me what I'm doing wrong when I refinish wood pieces. After I finish staining and sanding, when I apply the varnish it looks fine -- until it starts drying, and then it turns white! I have to sand off the varnish, apply a sanding sealer, then varnish again! I never had this problem in the past, so I'm blaming this new stain or this new varnish, or a combination thereof. Any clues?
In November (or July), we'll have to have a party to celebrate our mutual 60th birthdays, Pat!
P.S.: Sorry about getting off the subject of IBS; in the future we should be posting such issues in the Living Room.
