Welcome to the boards. You've come to the right place. There are several people here who have fibro; I'm sure they can help you a lot.

I am a D person, and struggling with my weight. Your comment interested me: "I've always been very thin and eating low-fat food (I eat a lot of chicken and rice) causes me to lose weight, then once the IBS calms down, I can put it back again." So your IBS does calm down? What makes it do that? And what would cause it to "put it back again"?

I got my system "back on track" when I came on the boards here and got PHENOMENAL help, went through the hypnotherapy program, and -- most importantly -- got real about my IBS. Many times I was doubled over with cramps while reading Heather's "The First Year" -- and drinking my morning coffee. DUH.

I assume you have Heather's book? If not, you'll need it. It really helps to read it (most of us have gone through it at least twice already) because when someone here talks about an issue of concern to you, suddenly a light will go off in your head and you'll realize, "oh yeah, I remember reading about that." You'll just learn so much faster.

What kind of soluble fiber supplement are you on? What is your dosage? Are you drinking all the water? You sure there's nothing in your diet that could be a trigger?
