I am a big believer that it is important to keep a sense of humour in difficult situations, so I thought I would share with you the profound things I have thought of, whilst spending all that extra time in the bathroom: 1 - Why do English people put carpets in the bathrooms? I don't think I have ever seen a carpetted bathroom in Canada. And in my house here, it's not just one of those really flat carpets, but really fluffy. Fluffy carpets... water... doesn't that sound like a nice place for some fungus? Lovely... 2 - My boyfriend's mum is really into scented toilet paper. Not only is it scented, but bright pink. It is just one of those things that makes me think, "Why is this necessary in life?". And I can't even tell what it is supposed to smell like... some sort of cross between flowers and talcum powder and mold... It's lovely. Yep, this is how I spend my time now. Sitting on the throne, pondering the important questions in life... If only I got paid... --Steph
