Su, we live and learn, don't we? The turkey salad sandwich most surely contained dark meat (a trigger) and real fatty mayo (a trigger), not to mention some kind of chopped up veggies (celery or onion? -- triggers). Chips? A trigger. SLAW? OMG! Girlfriend!
I'm SOOO sorry for you! At least now you know what NOT to do the next time you go out to lunch. And why not pack a little Equalactin in your purse for those occasions when you're eating out? Chew up one of them just before you eat -- before you leave the car, as you're walking into the restaurant door, or at the table -- whichever. Take some "Tummy Mint" tea bags with you and ask the waitress for some hot water for tea, then brew your own at the table. Everyone you're with will be envious of your yummy-smelling brew.
Order a plain white meat turkey sandwich instead of turkey salad, hold the mayo, hold the chips, hold the slaw (cabbage is SOOOO hard for us to digest). Maybe it sounds like a boring meal, but remember you're there for the ambience and the company and to have a good time, not to eat something that will ultimately make you sick.
Too bad about the D -- but since you have C, at least you're cleaned out now! (Sorry -- I'm such a polyanna!)
You're right -- another day, another lesson. And it sounds like you learned it well. Good for you.
Oh, and that pottery class? YIPPEE! I LOVED pottery and made a few pieces I'm real proud of. I've tried to find classes up here ever since we moved, but no luck. RATS. You're gonna have a fantastic time (sure hope you've got some real grubby clothes 'cause you're gonna get down and dirty!) ENJOY!
