Well I guess the word bad is really relative. From what I understand, Maalox contains magnesium which can cause you to become "unconstipated" - not sure if it actually causes diarrhea but I suppose it can do that. Tums has calcium and the calcium can be constipating . Sooooo depending on your symptoms, a daily dose of calcium might be good to keep you from getting the runs. Or a bit of Maalox could help keep things moving. I've not found much relief from either (they are also supposed to help with heartburn right?) and get most of my stomach relief from Gas X and taking regular fiber (love my Acacia!). Hope this is not confusing and I've got my facts straight! You can also do a search from previous posts and it's been talked about before.
