Remember too there are people on the board who grew up without childhood trauma and still have IBS. If you have issues to work through it isn't a bad idea. Stress can cause real physical pain and problems. I've been through counseling myself to work through childhood issues. I don't have time to check for you, but check the Research Library for info. about this topic. Also there was a long link discussing how our IBS started sometime last month.
