God did create skin to protect our body. It is possible for some toxic chemicals to penetrate our skin, mostly from over-exposure though. Other ways it can affect our bodies is when it is absorbed through mucus (sp?) membranes, such as mouth, nose, vagina, etc. If ingredients made us sick simply by skin contact, this whole world would be EXTREMELY SICK!
