I am also a D. I take Lomotil for the D, but when I have cramps, I take Hyoscyamine. When the cramps are severe, then I take Donnatal. Heather used to take Donnatal but says she's found that her peppermint caps work better as an anti-spasmodic than Donnatal! WOW! You might give the caps a try -- you get them from Heather.

Perhaps it's a little too soon for you to be having veggies. Maybe you might want to hold off for awhile until you get stable, and then add them in gradually (like in soups).

I didn't follow you very well here about the meat. You did eat chicken and turkey, but you're better without it? Am I following you correctly? Well, then why not try soy? Start out slow, maybe a little soy cheese or soy milk, and see how you do with it. We use soy a lot; I think it's the major part of my diet.

Great that you are drinking a lot of water. Excellent!

You can make a fruit smoothie by following Heather's recipe for banana berry smoothie. It's yummy. And be sure to fix it in a food processor (if you can) instead of a blender because it does a much better job of pureeing the fruit. Very easy on the tummy!
