Wow, Linda, what can I say to help you out here? You sure have a full plate! It makes a person wonder why someone gets so over-burdened as you are right now.
I've said this on the boards before, but I think it bears repeating. I don't honestly believe that God gives us more than we can handle. It may seem that way, but we're stronger than we think in times of crises. You can handle all this, I'm sure of it, or you wouldn't have been dealt it. It just makes you even stronger. I think you just take it one step at a time, dealing with one issue and then another. All these things will resolve themselves no matter how you handle them.
Give your best friend all the support you can while spending as much time with your dad as you can afford. I wish I had the opportunity to spend time with my dad before he died, but we had no warning and I never got to say good-bye. Have the biopsy done on your puppy dog, and be there for her too.
I have found that during times of crisis my mind is preoccupied with the situation and thus OFF my own problems; I've actually been surprised that my IBS didn't act up during the crisis but when the crisis was over. Think about your friend, your dad and your dog, don't think about your IBS; I'll bet you too will be surprised.
God bless.
