I wanted to say thank you for all the help you've given me and others on this board. I was nosing around the ibs hypnosis board, and saw all your posts to Mags. And I wanted to say THANK YOU for being such a cheerleader to her, and to everyone on here! You have always responded to every post I've made (though I haven't posted too often yet) and you are just such a positive person! BTW, all your recipes are fabulous!! (I have so many with your name on that I have downloaded to my computer!!)
And I wanted to comment on your weight loss question. I started the IBS food plan (I refuse to call this a diet, because I will never be able to go back to eating the way I did before!) back on November 5. I have since dropped a whopping 70 pounds. I haven't exercised one whit (unless you count chasing a 3 and 2 year old on daily basis!) I have lost so much weight that I HAVE TO start exercising, 'cause the excess skin is just gross! The only thing that I have done different is absolutely stick to the IBS plan. And I bet that I don't come close to the 25% fat that we are (max) allowed to have in our diet. For me, the less fat, the better. I miss some things, but the risk of an attack is a great deterrent for me. Like I said before, i was strictly following the plan even for the past two weeks, and I was still sick with diarrhea and cramping. If I had added unsafe foods to that, I bet my symptoms would have had me rolling on my bed in agony!
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. Thank you again for being such a positive light on this board. You make my day whenever I see how supportive you are of others. And you get a big pat on the back from me!! And someday, if I ever make it up to northern WA (we make a trip a few times a year) I want to eat at your house! I can smell those recipes from here!!! LOL
