Was going through my herb book last night and I thought I'd share some things with all of you.

HEATHER - ANY COMMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING?

HOP - Drink hop tea last thing at night to help you sleep.
CHAMOMILE - makes a soothing tea for somach upsets and indigestion and with a spoonful of honey added, is a pleasant tonic or pickmeup.
MARIGOLD - fresh or dried marigold petals add a delicate flavor and color to rice, cheese and savory dishes. Fresh petals add color and nutrition to a green salad.
BERGAMOT - use fresh or dried flowers for a tempting tea or add to hot milk to take as a sedative.
PENNYROYAL - An infusion is believed to be good for digestion.
PEPPERMINT - make hot peppermint tea for indigestion. It also improves appetite.
ROSEMARY - It is good for the digestion and stimulates circulation.
THYME - a cup of hot thyme tea sweetened w/honey taken last thing at night will promote sleep.
JUNIPER - juniper tea is diuretic and good for digestion and bronchial complaints. IT SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN IF THE KIDNEYS ARE INFLAMED.
EYEBRIGHT - eyebright tea made from the whole plant, either fresh or dried, is a tonic and said to be a remedy for hay fever.
ANGELICA - angelica tea calms the nerves and reduces tension when taken lat thing at night. Also good for FLATULANCE but SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN BY THOSE SUFFERING W/DIABETES. It relieves indigestion and is a pleasant warming drink to take after a heavy meal.
ANISE - Aniseed tea sweetened w/honey makes a good digestive drink and a pleasant nightcap. Anise is extremely effective for digestive ailments.
DILL - dill seed tea taken last thing at night will promote sleep.
FENNEL - Warm fennel tea is diuretic and a mild laxative.
SWEET CICELY - for indigestion, make sweet tea using chopped leaves and drink it hot.
VALERIAN - has a calming effect on the whole nervous system and helps promote sleep. Drink valerian tea an hour before bedtime over a number of days to encourage natural sleep. IT SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN REGULARLY OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME.
