Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Ginger tea? And fennel tea?

Does anyone brew ginger tea? If so what does your ginger look like? I bought mine at a health food store. Mine looks like little flowers or something kind of like that...did I get the right stuff? I know its ginger, but is that the kind recommended for brewing? Also how much do you brew? I put a tabelspoon in my tea press that holds 4 cups, I only put in 3 cups however...anyways it was soooo strong I had to dump it. I use about 2 TBL fennel. So how much should I use for ginger?

OH one more question..I'm almost out of fennel, I get that at the health food store. I'm thinking about ordering it from Heather. The only thing is I can get it for $10.00 a lb at my health food store. And if I get it from Heather its like $13.00 a lb and then shipping. That's not a big deal, but what I'm wondering is if her fennel is that much better!! If so I would buy it. Has anyone been buying fennel at a local store and swithched to Heathers? If so let me know what you think...is it worth the switch?
