I'm really bummed and irritated, and dare I say it, really, really mad about this IBS thing. Yet, i have to count myself lucky that it's not gonna pass on to my children if i ever have any, and it won't lead to anything worse. I think i'm more angry at the fact that my kitchen was recently stocked with mostly no-no foods and I just want to scream and cry and throw something. I forgot to ask also, is margarine okay? I'm just sitting here sulking and complaining while I have to watch over a frozen pizza that's cooking in the oven for my hubby and i'm eating a plain yellow potato. Later today after i get some sleep and hubby get sleep, we're gonna go to the store to see what we can afford for me to start up on this IBS diet. 90% of the food we have right now is a big no-no or a eat very sparingly type food. I remember someone mentioning ginger ale is okay if i stir out the carbonation. Is this okay? Oh, another questionable food, how about candy? I've got this horrible sweet tooth. I read about anise tea, well what about black licorice which is made with anise? :P Are frozen green beans, brocolli, corn okay? What about canned carrots and peas? Any other foods that are good take-alongs that i can keep in my purse for flare-ups or to prevent an episode? Thank you all for your help!
