I just did a post on that subject this week. Lomotil is okay but it can be addictive and when starting it if of course you take too much it will block you. I had dysentery from a trip to Mexico and took for some time. I wasn't aware until I was eventually hospitalized that I had a mild dose of typhoid. I kept on the Lomotil at about one a day and I'm afraid it is habit forming. I know Immodium is good and unlike Lomotil it is not a narcotic. If you would like a medical opinion go to http://AllExperts.com. It is a site manned by volunteers and there is no registration or cost. Under Health & Fitness you will see a breakdown of conditions. I would say for you to go to Women's Health and ask a physician. You fill out a question form on the screen and submit to the network which sends on to the volunteer. Your reply from volunteers comes back the same way and often the same day. Be sure to complete your e-mail address. My suggestion anyway for what it is worth.
