You're away at school, right? That means you don't have access to a kitchen and can't cook, correct? Do you at least have a little fridge? Microwave? Anything?

What about those little cans of V8 juice? I think you have to refrigerate them, though, but I'm not sure. The ingredients are: tomato juice from concentrate, reconstituted vegetable juice blend (water and concentrated juices of carrots, celery, beets, parsley, lettuce, watercress, spinach), potassium chloride, sugar, ascorbic acid, magnesium, salt, citric acid, spice extract, flavoring, disodium inosinate, and disodium guanylate. Yum.

The subject of V8 juice has come up before on the Board, but I haven't yet found a definitive yay or nay. You might give it a try; at least you'd get your veggies, right? Lets see, zero fat, zero cholesterol, 50 calories per 8 ounces, 900mg. potassium, 1g. protein, and a whopping 140mg. sodium (obviously no good for me -- and this is the "75% less sodium" variety!) Anyway, there's your veggies.

Also, what about keeping a small stash of bananas in your room? There's your fruit.

We did a long thread about granola bars -- do a search. I can tolerate the Nature Valley quite well, and the peanut butter are to die for. I keep a few in my purse for emergencies.

Last, but certainly not least, the tuna pouches are unbelievably delicious. No cans, no juice, just very fresh-tasting albacore, and one pouch is one big serving, so there's no waste, nothing to refrigerate. And there's your protein.

Hope some of this helps. As far as the pill goes, I SOOOO can't help you with that! With regard to a nutritionist, I saw one once, and yes she was very helpful -- but my visits centered around being able to cook. Do you feel you need a nutritionist? You have Heather's "The First Year," don't you? If you follow her advice, and work around the restrictions you have as regards cooking at school, you should be fine.

Good luck!
