Mornings ?! ? :s

Hi,
I'm still pretty new here, so I apologize if this has been asked before. I have had IBS symptoms for the past few years, but just over the past few months they have gotten a lot worse. I'll have the most problems in the morning right after I wake up. With my old position at my company I was on call 24/7 and would often get paged at 2am, and once paged I'd have to rush to work (and not have access to a washroom often for hours). Needless to say, this was very tough on my system. I've been able to get another position that isn't an on call position, but still does require earlyish mornings.
I find when I wake up, I'm usually fine for 20 minutes, then have discomfort for another 20 or so, and then need the washroom, rather urgently. Anybody have any suggestions as to how to change that? I've been on a very strict diet, similar to the one discussed here, and although it makes a big difference, mornings are still a problem.
