This may help for lactose intolerance (I'm not familiar with it), but I wouldn't consider it to be helpful for IBS. All dairy products also contain casein and whey, which are also triggers. The meds for lactose do not help with the casein and whey. Much to my sadness, I gave up on dairy and lactose meds long ago. I really miss dairy.
