I must have a million tea strainers of one sort or another but my favorite for VERY fine tea leaves is the Bodum Yo Yo set. The plastic mesh basket can set over any size tea cup, even a deep mug, and IS SO fine it never lets in "floaties"....Anything else in glass or stainless steel has disappointed me so far for trying to keep the leaves OUT of the water............(And I even have the Bodum pot with a plastic infuser, but because the infuser is not a "mesh" plastic, but rather one with slits in it, it doesn't work as well.) Is this something like what your's looks like..? The picture here doesn't show it but it also comes with a snap lid for the infuser itself....
