I've spent the first 18 years of my life IBS C and then (probably due to severe stress) moved into IBSC&D, where I've been ever since. Now roughly a couple of weeks into this diet and acacia. Aside from a couple of days on my period (which caused horrific C and a migraine) I'm now averaging 3 BMs a day (which are better formed than they have been at times, but still tending on the loose/ribbon- like).

When I first started on the acacia I was very C and produced a LOT more poop (which still varied from C-like to loose) but felt a bit too bloated and gassy, so I cut back to 1/2 a (tea-stirring) teaspoon.

Oh, also, if I move too far into breaking the cycle I get too C, which is unbearable.

Have also been getting a little bit of very mild indigestion and nausea last couple of days which I almost NEVER ever had before!

So, do ya think I need more soluble fibre supplement or less??? Any other ideas?? (Oh, the only other change in my diet since this time has been the re-introduction of white flour - bread etc - which I wasn't eating much of before, but not totally avoiding).

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
