Presumably your new doctor is an alternative medicine doctor. Leaky gut has not been clinically shown to be associated with IBS. It isn't accepted as a cause or symptoms of IBS. The main ingredient in RepairVite is GLUT - glutamine - an amino acid and some herbs, plant material and plant enzymes. The enzymes will be of little help as they will be degraded by the stomach acids. Glutamine does have some benefit for the gut but not for IBS. You can buy it at a health food store for much less than it will cost to buy RepairVite if you want to give it a try.
