So I have been back on the IBS diet for a few weeks now after a break and have noticed some differences, for example if I eat badly, I will have attack type dirroeah-very watery, extreme cramps, sweats etc. this will happen say 3 times a day.
Now my frequency is decreasing a little (1-2a day) and I'm not feeling like attacks more just mild pain. But my stool is still loose. It's not true dirreoah anymore, more like a cow pat/mush that comes out in one go. But when I've followed the Ibs diet beforehand my stool has become normal pretty quickly
. Yesterday I was home all day so decided to just eat really plainly-rice crispies, jacket potatoe with scrambled egg whites and 2 bagels with a scrape of peanut butter and apple sauce. I didn't have a bm at all, just lots of gas but then today as soon as I woke up, had very loose stool/almost dirroeah consistency.
I am just baffled as to why my stool is still loose; I am starting to up my fibre so maybe that will work, any other suggestions? I started to use imodium but i was using it too frequently it became less effective so decided to stop that for a while.
