Which fermented foods are you thinking about introducing - vinegar, wine/beer, sourdough bread ...? Presumably yogurts, cheeses and high fiber products like sauerkraut and kimichi are not on the list

Note that the bacteria in some fermented foods die during the fermenting process or when the food is cooked. And they may be killed by strong stomach acid when ingested.
