are you in Britain? regardless make sure Benefiber has no inulin added!

for spams and pain I also take Buscopan sometimes, which helps a lot. but again check the ingredients to make sure it contains no lactose for instance.

I think you should see results in about 3 days' or a week's time. but depends. the v basic diet should help in the long term, so pls be patient, I know it's frustrating but I think this is the best way to calm things down.


you could eat normal potatoes not sweet potatoes, as they have less IF.but you see the discomfort you may be feeling after a particular meal may be due to something you ate yesterday or the day before. that's why I'd generally think that 3 days should be enough to really feel some change for the better, but I am no expert and it may take longer. hang in there!

[I've tried VSL#3 -> I could tolerate v good amounts of IF (even with less SF), it worked great (but overall I find it too expensive)]
