Welcome to the board,

It is possible that the fermentation of fiber (soluble and insoluble) in colon by colonic bacteria produce gas and by-products that exacerbate your IBS symptoms. It can take a few hours for fiber to makes it was to the colon especially if you are C with a slow transit time. However, given that you likely consume foods that contain fiber it is difficult if not impossible to say that the fiber supplement you consumed earlier is causing the pain you experience later. It could be from fiber or other foods consituents.

It would be helpful if you could give us a list of the meals and snacks you ate for the 2-3 days. It might give us some clues.
